Here I am in Lori's backyard after 5 months of eating very small amounts. I have lost 60+ lbs.

Vacation 2006

My first visit to the Grand Canyon; hopefully not my last. Wow, what a sight for someone from the flatlands of Texas. By the way, how does one pick 'A' vacation picture. I have to admit, my best vacation picture is on film and in a box somewhere.

Barren

This is in Arizona. It isn't totally barren, but I wouldn't want to try to grow anything here.

My backyard guest collects pollen from the zennias. I love late summer when the flowers are in full bloom and the flutterbyes are all around. I sit on my swing with my camera and a cup of coffee getting hundreds of shots of all the critters that come to visit.

The Surgery April 2007

The above picture is the day before surgery and at my heaviest. This is after several months of bulking-up for surgery! I was approved back in December of 2006, but due to life's circumstances, I had to put the procedure off until April 16, 2007. After this picture was taken, we left for Houston and my new weigh of life!

This is me after 5 week liquid, who wouldn't lose weight, and 10 days on semi-solid food. I have lost 35 pounds and now fit in the clothes I have been wearing all along. Think of it this way, now that I can't eat all I want, I fit comfortably in the fat clothes. Of course, like most women of fortunate proportions, my bra suffered some loss. I can wear a smaller cup and it hugs the waist better. ;) photo by Lori
